pdfcn: Customisable PDF components for shadcn/ui

X postShadcn LabsTool

Shadcn Labs highlighted pdfcn, a component library for designing accessible and customisable PDF documents. The library is built on Takumi and Forme and designed to work with shadcn/ui.

Key points

  1. pdfcn provides a collection of customisable and accessible components specifically for PDF generation.
  2. It is built on top of Takumi and Forme.
  3. The library is designed for seamless use alongside shadcn/ui.
  4. It includes dedicated AI support via llms.txt, Markdown variants via headers or URL extensions, and an agent skills index.

Why it matters

Generating high-quality, visually appealing PDFs in modern web development can be difficult. pdfcn brings the component-driven workflow familiar from shadcn/ui to document styling.

Analysis

Beyond extending shadcn/ui patterns into the PDF generation space, pdfcn stands out by natively providing agent skill endpoints and LLM-friendly documentation formats.
